Beer Camp Across America Brings over 100 Northeast Breweries and thousands of craft beer lovers together for one epic evening at Portland’s Thompson Point
On July 31st the Beer Camp Across America Tour hit Portland, Maine, along with almost 130 breweries and 3,500 attendees. Sebago Brewing Company brewers and staff were right there in the thick of “the biggest beer event in Maine history”, pouring up Bonfire Rye and Hop Swap with a toast and a smile.
“Best brewfest I have ever attended,” was Sebago Brewing Company co-founder, Kai Adams’ assessment of the event. “It was awesomely well-organized and the crowd could not be better. Every time I turned around there was another face I knew and glass to clink.”
“Sierra Nevada could have chosen anywhere in the country to hold this festival and they chose Portland, Maine,” states Maine Brewers Guild Executive Director, Sean Sullivan in this great compilation video filmed during the Beer Camp Tour (by Knack Factory).
It’s true that we were all feeling some serious pride for our fellow Maine breweries that night. However, let’s not forget our friends who joined the festivities from all over New England. Our friends to the south demonstrated that there’s some delicious competition outside these borders … and they’re only a road trip away!
What new out-of-state (or in-state, for that matter) breweries did you discover at Beer Camp? Tweet @sebagobrewing to let us know! But before you get there, check out some of our favorite faces in the crowd. Spotted!
As you can likely tell, we had no fun at all. Oh man was that AWESOME!
