Helga

Helga is named to commemorate the German hop picking machine at HopYard in Gorham where all the Cascade hops for this beer are grown – 2020 celebrates her 50th harvest. The fresh hops are sprayed with liquid nitrogen to freeze them before our brewers shred them with a weedwhacker to extract more flavor and aroma while preserving their finest qualities. In addition to the great fresh hops, this ale has soft wheat flavors from the Maine malt and fruit forward aromatics from the English yeast.
